Knit skirts, especially a knit midi skirt, is the equivalent of dressed up casual wear. Like a cozy pair of sweatpants but way more chic! Today I’m going to share several ways to wear this versatile piece.
Outfit Details: Amazon Cardigan, Chicwish Skirt c/o, Solar Eclips Hair Scrunchie c/o (use code: CASSIEB for 15% off at Solar Eclips), J.Crew Purse (similar here), Steve Madden Heels (similar here)
Pair It With Your Favorite Cozy Knit Top
For a cozy outfit pairing try wearing a high waisted knit midi skirt with your favorite knit top. I paired mine with this cozy cardigan I found off of Amazon (last seen here).
Balance Out The Shape With An Oversized Top
Since knit midi skirts are form fitting, try balancing out the silhouette with an oversized top. I chose to pair mine with an oversized cardigan, but you could also try a oversized button up, sweater, or loose fitting silk shirt.
For An Hourglass Silhouette Tuck Your Top In
To make a lovely hourglass silhouette make sure your waist line is showing! Instead of leaving your shirt hanging out try tucking it in. At the very least tuck just the front portion of your sweater into the front of your skirt. If your shirt is extra baggie or long you can even tuck the bottom hem of your shirt under your bra for a crop top effect!
For A Chic Look Go Monochrome
For an effortlessly chic look try wearing a top that’s the same color as your skirt. Like I did in this blog post here.
Dress It Up Or Down With Your Shoes
I wore my skirt with heels, but knit midi skirts look just as cute with sneakers! Try wearing one with a classic white pair of sneakers for a comfortable yet super chic look.
