It’s been a month since we moved into our new home, and since my husband and I love spending as much time as possible outside, we decided to focus on decorating our back patio first.

Outdoor Matching Seating Set
Outdoor matching furniture sets are an easy way to furnish your outdoor space while keeping everything cohesive. The matching set doesn’t detract from nature, and it gives you a great backdrop for all kinds of fun accessories. Things like rugs, potted plants in all shapes and sizes, throw pillows, outdoor lights, umbrellas etc.
This seating arrangement has been perfect for hanging out with friends, an outdoor movie night (we use our tablet as a portable tv), lounging with a good book, or eating a meal.
I chose the natural wood furniture with white and black cushions. White is a great choice for outdoor cushions since the sun won’t fade it. This set is surprisingly comfortable and so convenient since everything shown including the pillows is included. A few other sets I love by Wayfair include this black and gray one, this sectional, and this two person seating group.
Umbrella & Umbrella Stand
Having an umbrella for added shade is a must since we currently don’t have any trees. I chose this umbrella that also tilts at the neck making it easy to direct and block the sun. I also purchased a weighted umbrella stand to keep the umbrella from blowing away.
Accessories
Now that I’ve picked out the larger pieces I plan to spend some time adding in more decor to make this space even cozier. I plan on adding an outdoor rug, garden stools, and potted plants just to name a few. Keep scrolling to see the final before and after.
