Outfit Details: Chicwish Dress c/o, Target Booties (similar here)
Easter is the perfect excuse to buy a new dress, especially now that spring’s here, the days are getting longer, and the weather is finally warming up!
With Easter being less than two weeks away, now’s a great time to start shopping for Easter dresses. I like to choose a dress that I can not only wear Easter Sunday, but all throughout spring and summer too.
Choose A Dress With Statement Sleeves
Statement sleeves are still just as popular as ever this year! Puffy and/or full sleeves add a pretty feminine detail to an otherwise simple dress. I went with a long sleeve dress since it’s still cool out, but there are several pretty dresses with shorter statement sleeves too.
Choose A Versatile Dress
Choose a dress that looks just as cute with heels and a clutch as it does with sneakers and a crossbody purse. That way, you can continue wearing it all spring and summer long. I can easily imagine myself wearing this dress with white sneakers and a crossbody purse too.
Choose A Dress With A Fun Print
I love solid color dresses just as much as the next girl, but after a winter full of neutrals and solid fabrics I was ready for a fun print! This dress reminds me of a pretty vintage handkerchief and since I have nothing like it in my closet, I couldn’t pass it up! This time of year you can never go wrong with a pretty floral print, polka dot, or a unique print like the one I’m wearing here.
Choose A Dress Thant’s Easy To Move Around In
If you’re planning to hang out in your dress all day, from church, to Easter egg hunts, to dinner, choose a dress that’s comfortable. This dress works perfect for all those activities thanks to it’s removable belt, loose fit, and shorter hemline. Since my dress is on the shorter side, I layered it with a pair of biker shorts (last seen here), perfect for staying covered while playing with little ones.
