I love the ease and effortlessness of wearing dresses in the summer. It’s so simple to throw one on and go yet still look polished and pulled together. Recently I picked up this floral long sleeve dress and I’ve been wearing it non stop ever since.

It’s All In The Details
This floral long sleeve dress is so pretty thanks to its sheer long sleeves, high neckline, and beautiful floral print. When it comes to summer dresses I look for interesting patterns and/or silhouettes, pieces that can easily be dressed up or down, and comfortable fabrics like this thin chiffon.
Interesting Patterns And/Or Silhouettes
When shopping for summer dresses I love finding interesting patterns and/or silhouettes. Things like oversized sleeves, high necklines, or ruffles. When it comes to patterns and color I find myself gravitating towards romantic florals, animal prints, neutrals and pastels.
Dressed Up Or Down
Now that things are starting to reopen I’ve worn this dress to church with heels as seen below, but I’ve also paired it with sandals and sneakers on two different occasions for more laidback looks as seen here.
Comfortable Fabric
Fabrics are another important choice when it comes to deciding on summer dresses. This one from Chicwish is made of thin chiffon perfect for a warm day. Other fabrics that are great to wear in the summer include silk, cotton, chambray, and linen.
