4 Reasons To Wear Linen This Summer

Summer’s in full swing now and unless you’re at the pool it can be difficult to stay cool. From outdoor sporting events, to family picnics, to walking your dog, sometimes you need/want to be outdoors, but don’t want to suffer for it. I hear you and that’s why today I’m sharing one of my favorite fabrics to stay cool and comfortable in, linen.

Why Linen Is Great For Summer

It’s breathable, light weight, loosely woven (allowing heat to escape from the body), absorbs moisture, dries quickly, and is a stiffer fabric which means that it won’t stick to your body. Nothing is worse than clingy wet fabric am I right?!

Its Effortless Laid Back Vibe Is Perfect For Summer

As far as looks go I love the subtle texture of linen that easily adds interest to an outfit. This fabric also gives off an effortless laid back vibe that’s great for looking chic even in the most extreme heat.

What To Wear With It

It’s Great For The Beach/Pool

I can hardly make it to the beach without bringing lots and lots of linen pieces with me. I took these pants to the Bahamas a few years a go and they not only worked great for walking around the resort, but as a swimsuit cover up too since this fabric dries so quickly!
