Each summer there seems to be a new trendy way to wear shorts. Last year I was styling my shorts with kimonos and this year I can’t get enough of them paired with a blazers. Below I’ve featured a few tips on styling blazers with shorts this summer.

PAIR A MONOCHROME SHORTS OUTFIT WITH A BLAZER
Nothing could be simpler than wearing an all white outfit for summer. Add in a blazer, and you’re all set with one of this year’s hottest trends! Besides white I also love monochrome outfits in blue, black, and cream.
CHOOSE AN OVERSIZED LIGHTWEIGHT BLAZER
When deciding on what blazer to wear with shorts I chose an oversized blazer for a casual look. And since it’s hot out, I prefer to stick to lightweight fabrics such as cotton and linen. This blazer is made of polyester, and is very light weight.
WEAR A LONGER PAIR OF SHORTS
When deciding on what shorts to wear I chose a longer pair (these unrolled) to tap into that 90’s style. You could also wear biker shorts to get a similar look.
FINISH OFF THE LOOK WITH A BELT
Belts are a great way to draw attention to the smallest part of the waist and they help to finish off a look. A belt bag, like the one I’m carrying here (it can be worn 2 ways, last seen here), would also look cute worn as a belt with this outfit.
Blazers are one of the simplest ways to upgrade even the most basic of outfits.
