What To Wear While Apple Picking

Fall has always been a favorite season of mine, so I can hardly believe I’ve never gone apple picking before! This year I decided to change all that and I put together this fall outfit that’s perfect for apple picking.

Outfit Details: Hurley T-Shirt (similar here), Modena Poncho (similar here), Highway Jeans (similar here), Crocs Boots (similar here), Accent Earrings (similar here), Amazon Bracelet, Basket (similar here)

T-Shirt & Jeans

Nothing could be more classic than a great pair of jeans and a t-shrit. I wore this Hurley v-neck t-shirt (similar here) because It’s so soft and comfortable. I plan on layering it under cardigans, blazers, and ponchos like one this one all fall and winter long.

These Highway Jeans are great thanks to their high waist, slight distressing, and slim fit. I also love these high waisted cropped Levis, plus they are less than $40!

Poncho

I love wearing ponchos in the fall! They’re so cozy like wearing a blanket plus, they’re easy to throw on and go. I decided on this Modena poncho that matched my brown rain boots, but I also like this one from Amazon that comes in several different colors.

Earrings

I’m still loving the statement earring trend, and I’ve bought several pairs before as seen here, here, and here, so I knew I wouldn’t have any trouble finding a new pair to match this outfit. I decided on a pair of hoop earrings (similar here) since I currently don’t own any and I also like how the white detail at the top matched this t-shirt.

Blessed Bracelet

Not necessary or important to wear while apple picking but I love dainty jewelry! I recently picked up this rose gold blessed bracelet from Amazon and it’s the perfect dainty piece to wear alone or layered with a watch. Plus, they have several words and colors to choose from.

Chicken Wire Basket

I decided to bring my own basket (similar here) with me for collecting my apples instead of the little plastic baggies they give you. The basket made it easy to pick and gather the apples before loading them into the plastic baggies they gave us to purchase them.

Crocs Rain Boots

A pair of rain boots is a must have while apple picking. Not only are they stylish there’s no need to worry about getting your shoes dirty while hunting for the best apples. These brown Crocs (similar here) matched my poncho perfectly all while keeping my feet clean and dry.

Great blog post, Cassie! So cute. I’ve never even heard of a Gordmans until I discovered your blog. I looked up locations and it seems very popular in the Midwest! Also, I like how you paired this outfit with the croc rainboots. Such a good deal too!

I love the poncho! I have a really similar one and I always love busting it out each fall!
I always hit up Gordman’s when I’m back at home too! Sadly, we don’t have them in California.

Thanks Katie! I had my eye on a poncho last year, but never ended up getting it. So happy to now finally own one and I’m sure I will be pulling it out year after year too. 🙂 I heard of a few new Gordmans stores opening up this year maybe one day they will come near you! 😉

Love this outfit! I always wear the worst outfits doing these kinds of things! I went sunflower picking and wore sandals… NOT A GOOD IDEA.

Sunflower picking sounds like so much fun! If I ever get the chance to go I’ll remember your tip and not wear sandals. 🙂

My Mother’s Day started at 4am with a nursing baby My Mother’s Day started at 4am with a nursing baby in my arms, a toddler crawling into my bed and falling asleep on my shoulder, & a doggie sleeping across my legs. 💕 They have no idea what today is, but I’m feeling so blessed to be surrounded by all my babies on Mother’s Day 👶🐶👧 Even if it was at 4am 🥱

Not pictured our dog Sydney. 🐶 I’m so tired I didn’t even notice until after we got these pictures 🤪 I knew I was forgetting something! 🙈
