It seems like yesterday I was talking about my love for all things leopard print here, but another animal print has already started to steal the show. Snakeskin is growing fast in popularity and unlike leopard print, snakeskin reads much more edgy. One of the main reasons why I’m loving it so much.
While both snakeskin and leopard print have risen in popularity this year, animal print is a classic that never goes out of style. For example, I’ve owned these snakeskin heels for years and still love them as much as when I purchased them 4 years ago.
I would love to update my wardrobe with more snakeskin pieces like this snakeskin purse, this jacket, this skirt, and I can’t believe this belt is only $14! Also this pair of snakeskin boots would be perfect to wear now that the weather is starting to cool off.
To allow my snakeskin heels to shine I chose to keep the rest of my look simple by pulling from the colors in my shoes.
Layered Necklaces
One of my favorite jewelry trends (besides statement earrings) is layering dainty necklaces. This gold bar necklace was a Nordstrom find for only $14, and the initial necklace (similar here) and sea shell necklace both came from Modmopolitan.
Camisoles
I recently purchased several camisoles to layer under blazers and cardigans this fall. I love the delicate lace detail and thick straps of this one by Icon Apparel (similar here) that I found at my local Gordmans recently for $6.
Blazers
Blazers are another favorite trend I’m stocking up on. I got lucky while shopping for blazers at my local Goodwill and found this brand new J.Crew one (similar here). Blazers are so fun to dress down right now with jeans, shorts (before the weather gets too cool), or even leggings.
Outfit Detail: J.Crew Blazer (similar here), Icon Apparel Cami c/o Gordmans (similar here), Zaful Jeans (currently sold out similar here), Modmopolitan Earrings, Initial necklace (similar here) & Sea Shell Necklace c/o, Nordstrom Bar Necklace, Dooney & Bourke Watch c/o, Coach Purse (similar here), Steve Madden Heels (similar here)

The snakeskin trend looks so good on you! I don’t own anything with a snakeskin pattern. I think only some people (like you) can pull it off really well. The leopard kind of print is something I can get onboard with in my wardrobe though!
Your blazer is so cute. I have WAY too many blazers from Goodwill! They literally always have so many at every place I go to. I have a blazer addiction and have had to stop myself from buying more while thrifting because I already have too many I haven’t worn yet! Great post Cassie! All of your photos look lovely!

Thanks so much Sara! I love that snakeskin can be a print or a solid color and that little bit of texture adds so much.
I’ve recently become obsessed with blazers and I’m so happy I decided to check out my local Goodwill! I’m sure I’ll be following your lead and after several trips there have more blazers than I can possibly wear! 🙂
