This past weekend my husband and I took our kids (the teens from our church youth group) to Chicago. Although it was a little cool (low 60’s) we still had fun walking around seeing the sights.

Honestly, I’m not sure why we don’t visit Chicago more often since we’re only 2 hours away. Since this trip my husband and I are determined to come back more often so we can check everything off our touristy bucket lists.

Since it was about 10° cooler than we’d originally thought it would be (whoops) we made a beeline for the nearest café for something hot to drink. That café happened to be Cupitol it’s the cutest place if you ever get the chance to visit.

I’m loving shoes with big bows on them right now so I had to get myself a pair. Two weeks ago I came across these adorable pink bow sandals from Gordmans for only $10! This was the first time I’ve ever worn them (except around the house to test them out) and after 9 miles of walking around Chicago thankfully my feet never hurt. They were so comfortable!

This little backpack purse (on sale here & even cheeper here if you’re local) has been one of my favorite finds so far this year (last seen here & here). It was so convenient to carry everything I needed for a day of walking around Chicago, and it’s so lightweight I hardly even noticed it was there.
