You may find it hard to believe but my husband has to encourage me to buy things for myself. I keep a detailed shopping list of items I would like to own (still don’t have a white button down shirt) and will rarely deviate from my list for fear of filling my closet with clothing I don’t love.

He convinced me to purchase this dress and I’m so glad he did! It’s as comfortable as wearing a stretchy cotton t-shirt, while still being formal enough for a special occasion. My minimal heart also loves the fact that it’s a simple/classic black and white stripe.

I paired the dress with my new favorite block heel sandals (with the sweetest little ankle strap ties) and a classic trench coat since rain was in the forecast.
